designer loves art... 61... Caravaggio

this is Caravaggio
of Italian decent and orphaned at 11 years of age. he had a rough start as a painter not lasting more than a couple of months in any studio. thankfully he came under the protection of the cardinal. but his suffering gave place to a whole new way of representing images.
he placed religious subject on daily life using people on the streets as his models showing their carnal emotions.
his play with dramatic light brings up the tension of the subjects, making you notice such little details and understand co much of the emotion of the subjects by looking at their face.
he became a great influence for many other artists including Rembrandt and Velazquez
