it is funny how the representation of a point in history is known by the art work of an artist that wasn't born in that country....
this is Paul Delaroche
born in France he was one of the students of Gros and was known for is dramatic scenes. ironically enough most of his subjects where from English history, including the execution of lady Grey. his works are recognized because of the light that he gives the main characters while the rest of the picture blends into darkness. his attention to detail deserves praise. and more of his work should be studied and taken into consideration.
