designer loves art....Janet Echelman...119

art work is always affected by the elements and not in a good way, but what of they where created to be transformed by them?

this is Janet Echelman
http://www.echelman.com

of american nationality, her artwork is created so that i will respond to the elements it is in contact with, it maybe water, air, earth or even fire, its possible that this respect or incline for the elements came form the several years she lived in Asia. So she started to think in what way she could create a volume without a solid body, one day while watching fisherman in the India, she decided her work would be of nets.

manuscript means a collection of books or other document written by hand in the medieval age. all of this books on subjects related from philosophy to literary texts had ornamented borders and illuminated inicials . they where usually produces on commissions to monastery. the colors, detail and time to get one done could take up to several years , since if i'm not mistaken, it was work of a single person to maintain the same style though it.
