designer loves art....Natalie Irish...132

we have all finger painted, but have you lip panted?

this is Natalie Irish

from Huston, USA,  she has been experimenting with several techniques in art. oil paints,  inks, ceramics and many thumbprint. what was surprising is her  technique "lip print", somehow using only her lips she is able to create  a portrait. you can see some of her videos on her webpage. although using a monochromatic color scheme , i'm surprised by the values and tints she is able to get.

designer loves art....Romero Britto...129

not many contemporary artist can get away with being colorful, or even use the term "pop art" to describe their work

this is Romero Britto

born in Brazil his first encounter with works from Picasso and Matisse took when he was in his early 20's. he combined his love or pop art with his new knowledge of cubism. the result  a wonderful mixture or color, textures and happiness. all of his work extrudes cheerfulness and is considered an agent of positive change. seeing his work i can't disagree,  you can easily smile when you see his work. I hope we get to see much more of him.

designer loves art....Peeter Neef the Elder...128

perspective in interiors is hard to achieve, specially in a place like a cathedral.

this is Peeter Neefs the Elder
http://www.wga.hu/frames-e.html?/html/n/neeffs/peeter_y/index.html

fleimish painter, who worked in Antwerp, Belgium ,  he mostly worked in paining interior settings, specially of the cathedral of Antwerp. some or his paintings are quite accurate and some do have some creative freedom in them. the paintings are small usually in copper, panel or wood with oil paint. but one small problem with him is that his work and that of this sons are difficult to distinguish and many times mixed. personally i love the perspective used for the depth perceived, i do think the scale of the people is a little erred, but i've never been there so its an educated guess.
