i just would like to commemorate today, because its the 200 th anniversary, of my favourite book of all time

living in Washington, although she doesn't have what one would call a "formal" training, she certainly has the eye of one. she has a wonderful play with light and shadows in her work.  while stepping out of the box and painting her subjects so they look like a painting, she shows her understand of color and light. not unlike impressionism. at the moment she has been receiving a lot of positive critics of her work, and is being showed cased around the world.

this is Tove Jansson

born in Helsinki Finland, she was born of artist parents, to the point it is said she learned to draw first and then to walk, she grew up and studied art with 2 other sibling who also went into an branch of the arts. her education was international as she also traveled and studied in other countries. she has a very distinctive stroke and style. which we can see from her first publishing as illustration in a magazine. although she was a great artist and painted quite a bit, she is mostly known for the creation f a well known and loved Finnish fictional character, Moomin, from a story to a novel, to a comic strip, cartoons and some films.

new domain

OK i know i haven't posted and i appologise, but i was 2 days  trying to finally get the new domain running... and i finally got it!! do remember to bookmark it,  i'm playing also with a new image like promised, to get the blog a little more robust.

hello everyone, 

i would like to take the time to wish everyone a very happy new year. 
i hope the wishes and dreams of everyone come true.

at this moment id like to thank everyone for stopping by my little blog, i hope this year it only keep growing, i have a couple ideas on bringing something else into the blog, and maybe something of my own, some drawings or the crafts i'm working on at the moment. and a well deserve image update and maybe my very own domain.

so im sharing with you a screen shot of the stats, it might not be super huge, but if it helps one person i'm happy with continuing this blog.
