sometimes there is no other like the original.
this is Maxfield Parrish
http://www.americanillustration.org/artists/parrish/parrish.html
born in Philadelphia,
he showed talent form quite an
early age, this can be since in the
letters he illustrated when he was a teenager. although at the beginning he starts
interested in architecture it didn't take a long time before he was considered
an artist. he first looked for instruction
to Howard Pyle however it came clear that he needed little to no instruction,
so he started his career. during his career is when he found his roots in
color, his technique and color is known as "Parrish blue", as well as "jewel like" this means that any reproduction of his work will never show
its color like the originals would do. his subject cross the border into a fantasy
land and with the brilliancy of the colors provides the viewer of an image that is completely
dreamlike. I will say that I had a lot of trouble trying to find images that
would be similar to what they would look like in person, although similar it
would be different from the true beauty of the original.
